In its native swampy habitats of Central and South America, Pachira is used to occasional flooding—but indoors, it prefers balance. Water thoroughly when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry, and ensure excess drains out. In Dubai homes, adjust watering during cooler months. Overwatering can lead to yellow leaves and soft stems, so it’s better to go slightly underwatered than too soggy.
